I was the same in fighting games, but there is just something special about Ryu

he really just has such a perfect learning curve, and his entire character being about self improvement through training, it really gets you into that power fantasy

its probably the only fighting game without any fundamentals at all. you literally just spam drive rush to skip all the fundamentals. anyone who tells you to play this game to learn fighters is a clown. even at all the top 8 tournaments everyone is playing the same as in bronze rank.
