Realistic enough to hold up yet stylized I. Such a way that it never becomes uncanny.

I don't know enough about game dev words but visually it's got the perfect level of "grit" and everything is super sharp and clear.
Movement is also perfect, it feels right to just run around.

It's at that point in graphics where it had high resolution textures and more advanced lightning, but it wasn't going downhill with everything being shaders and new texture tech.

I want to play new indie games that look like from the source era. Any suggestions for me? the only one I've played recently was Aneurism IV and it practically looks the same, despite being made on Unity. Not coincidental that it origins was Garry's Mod. As in there was three versions of the game on gmod and then it became a fully developed independent game. I've played INFRA, but that was actual source engine, same with G-String which I've played too.

Skyward sword might have a lot of faults but skyloft is the most comfy town ever.
