i played the original when it came out. I played the remaster a few months ago. I literally could not tell the difference at all, though it had been a long time since I played the original so if there were changes I just wouldn't notice them anyways. Either way I noticed nothing significant while playing it. Still looked like the dark souls I remembered.

It was supposed to be like old school NES games where you share secrets with kids in the school yard. Except in this case you just go look shit up online.

it's like doom but you attack instead of pressing space on every wall

there's a miracle in the game, think its called Seek Guidance.
does it work here? no_. It should have a lot more fucking messages in-game and so many more uses so a player could actually think of using it without having to resort to the internet. it's a pretty large area, players would never be able to complete Seigmeyer's questline, which would have players scratching their head at the abrupt end. personally, i don't like illusory walls to begin with, but if youre going to have it, there should be something else to it. have it change, be a part of a puzzle, just something more. it ends up being nothing more than a door

hows that any different from looking it up online?
its still internet access, it's still reading other players messages. its not better. and what happens if the player is offline or the servers shut down?

I LOVE games like this. Every playthrough I notice something huge that I missed and it blows my mind. Games for this feel?

People routinely leave messages just pass it so the edge of the message is sticking out.

You weren't. It was a secret. If you somehow stumbled on it, good for you, you get bonus stuff. If someone told you about it, good for you. If you never find it, tough luck but you aren't prevented from finishing the game in any way.

About a secret area? You weren't. Hence the secret part of a secret area. If you were hunting for secrets then hitting the walls has been standard for secret hunting for like 30 years.

Pretty obvious for a secret area. What, you just thought there a wide open spot clearly meant for something that was empty? Sure, its not immediately obvious what to do but that section was clearly for something and by that point you've probably come across a couple false walls and that wall was pretty punchable.

The secret area was the most well hidden in the game. It's behind a fakeout secret area with a chest in it that 99% of players would walk away from assuming that the chest was all there was to find

This. I found this on my own. Something seemed off about this location.

>>713323701
Wasn't the reward pretty shit which leads you to believe that's there still more secret to discover. As stated above, I found this my own because something didn't feel right here.

The shield you get before the first wall is pretty shit, enough to raise some doubts that it's all there is to see. The chest has twin humanities, not really shit enough to make the assumption again. The actual way they would intend for you to stumble on the second wall would be accidentally hitting it if you were checking for a mimic

from the three hundred billion messages other players leave on the ground

they did it again in Elden Ring but by that point you should be checking the wall behind every hidden wall anyway

Jokes aside, you are supposed to use your gaymer intuition. Everything was off about that place such as too much space around the chest just for a dead-end.
t. found it offline with no guides

Plenty of spots like that in the game, to be fair.
