I don't think any game is going to surpass the amount of dedication required to competently play Dwarf Fortress at this point. It has over two decades of autistic development put into it and will be unrivaled until AI can shit something out even close to it.

Wizardry's really fun, but I wouldn't recommend the MS-DOS version. You lose stats on level up more in that version than other releases of the game.

I'm really glad I learned the game inside and out when I was a NEET because it my favorite game and now that I'm a wagie I can pick it up whenever and play casually and relaxed because I know everything already. If I had to learn this game from scratch as a wagie now I probably wouldn't have the time/energy, but it's pure comfy when you already know how to play
