I try to use it to keep nests/factories suppressed but then some faggot charger who's already behind me just lightly touches it and it disintegrates.
High difficulty defense missions there's a million bile titans/harvesters spawning in and locked in on my position so I never get the chance to actually use it.
For some reason I'm cursed to forever play night maps so I can't see shit reliably enough to use it properly either and for fuck's sake let me have a flare gun or an anti-fog mask or something that can clear up the visibility

For defense maps I bring RR and GL-emplacement. I sit on the emplacement lobbing grenades removing all the non-heavies.
Usually it'll last long enough to go off cooldown so I just throw it down on top of the old one to continue plapping.
When/if a heavy shows up I unholster ol' reliable and hop back on the GL.
If you can't content with the heavy-spam consider a tesla, it's generally a good support-sentry with a low enough cooldown that you can use as a giant moth-catcher.
