there's something that performed worst than this though. Check Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine- Master Crafted Edition. Peaked at 128 and now it's down to 7 right now and peaked at 18 in 24 hours.

I never heard about this game before I started seeing threads on here laughing at it, so no, not like Concord. That game's story wasn't defined solely by the abysmal player count

pretty much, looks like a busy work for devs in between actual projects, just slapped together old assets in multiplayer environment, full of bugs, janky, no marketing outside of random reviewers who hop on anyone's dick and call it 10/10 for $3

i think they didnt even try to market it because they knew it was doa so they at least saved their marketing budget.
game had to be released so they can write it of.
artists and qa will be fired.
finnish tax payers will pay for it and nobody will learn anything. so the cycle continues.
i hope remedy wont have to take 10cent money to finish their next game...

google how tax breaks works and how ubisoft is milking canadian tax payers for more than a decade.
and thats how every aaa publisher aims to operate.
"Between 2013 and 2017, the company generated net profits of $634 million while receiving $615 million in subsidies. Without the governmentโ€™s help, Ubisoft is unprofitable."

I still can't believe they turned Alan Wake into MCU shit. Biggest monkey paw in my life. Then I go online to see people talking about it and the general sentiment is "the original is shit anyway lol just play Control and then Alan Wake 2!"
I hate this gay world. At least Control was still a good game, Alan Wake 2 wasn't.

I was actually looking forward to this game, I didn't know anything about it besides the trailers/screenshots.
Downloaded it on gapeass and the matchmaking didn't work, it put me in solo games no matter what I queued for. It also fucked with the color settings on my monitor somehow.
Plus it's just boring, it plays like KF2 but somehow even wonkier and less responsive.

Epic's agreement with Remedy was for Alan Wake Remastered and Alan Wake 2. Remedy is looking to self-publish from now on. Although with FBC giga flopping they might go back into the arms of creepy uncle Timmy.

Game's biggest sin is having the world of Control and somehow having zero narrative hooks and nothing to immerse yourself into your role outside of two dudes on the main menu talking about shit you're not going to understand.
It's just pure ignorance and stupidity.
It also has a laughable amount of content, dogshit level design AND NO VOICE OR TEXT CHAT, but nothing is worse than being boring and putting no effort into showing off the world to players.

Control was a pretty decent game.
If you wanted to turn it into a squad based shooter I'd just do something similar to Darktide. A world map with missions to chose from with the difficulty going from "slight incursion" to "[Redacted]".
Put in some randon object of power into each map (some fucking with the physics, some just inverting controls, some just showing you illusions) and there you have a solid basis for a fun game.
Then again, they never wanted to make a decent game

who the fuck said it needs to sell 3mil copies to BREAK even?
