Orherwise the Dreamcast version is generally considered the "best" because of issues with the ports

theres nothing wrong with sonic dx on gamecube. just avoid everything else after that.

DX isn't horrible and still perfectly playable, but the graphics are way WAY worse than the original Dreamcast version. If thats a concern for you, my recommendation would be using a mod installer with the Steam version.
