Clickbait fucking sucks, but maybe it's for the best as a real DLC for ME would be horrible with modern Bioware. Also can they stop trying to push Femshep as the face of the franchise when they have hard data proving most people play as Broshep.

Bioware was corrupted from within. Maybe this is just a normal cycle of successful business. Something is made successful by passionate and talented people and when it is a the top, and they need to expand, it gets flooded by parasites (for lack of a better word) whose only talent is to be social and play politics (which are the best talents for control and domination). Happens at everything, literally everything.

Why ARE the two so different?

Yeah, and it kinda shows. Marketing doesn't care about what fans actually played, they just want that sleek female lead image to plaster on trailers and box art. Never mind that 80% of the fanbase picked broshep and paragon'd their way through the trilogy. Now it's all about pushing femshep because they think it'll get them more 'engagement'. It's not even about the story anymore, it's about the PR optics.
