All the really popular PC games are open world survival crafting multiplayer slop like Minecraft that ends up on consoles anyway. Consoles on the other hand get good single player games.

most avant garde shit is on PC or cross platform. Escape from Tarkov, Squad, Swat, RoN, Dwarf Fortress, My Summer Car, High Fleet, Rust, DayZ etc. Some of these come to console eventually the same way God of War or GoT comes to PC. I mean console plebs basically missed the entirety of the golden MMO era. The HL2 modding era. So many great indie games.
The fact I can play like a million retro games for free is nice on PC too. The fact I can mod games to remove little annoyances.

The fact I can actually aim my gun in shooters is nice too. You ever watch a console player clunk around without auto aim? It's embarrassing looking for all but the top tier players. And props to those people, people who are actually good with the sticks are impressive.

but console is great in its simplicity. It's more affordable initially(I think I save money on PC with all the free stuff, emulation, etc). It's more curated. It does get some cool blockbuster exclusives. But both have their merits. That's why the market still exists for both.
