I had the fastest time in a single Hitman 2 (the modern one) level on PS4. It was the extra mission that takes place in the suburb and involves the guy selling magic water. It could be beaten in less than 30 seconds by just starting as the garbage man, shooting a civilian from far away (non-leathally) to cause a group of them to scatter and then shooting through a window to cause the target to try to flee downstairs, at which point you would shoot a lamp hanging over the stairs which would kill him in an accident. Then you would leave the level through the sewer entrance at the construction site. All the shooting could basically be done while you were running towards the construction site. The only element of randomness was bullet spread causing you to sometimes randomly miss the lamp.

Whenever I watch one of these they use weird terms that i don't understand and can't be arsed to look up. Also exploiting through a wall to skip 95% of the game is just cheating. Not speedrunning.
Nah thanks

Years ago, I completed the mission "Streets" for Goldeneye 64 in only one minute and twelve seconds. I was pretty proud of it.

I got real great at speed running Castlevania Chronicles on PS1. I never recorded it, never shared it. Just owned the game and felt like it would be a fun challenge. That's it.

I think it is even more annoying when the runner basically doesn't talk at all because he has done the run 10000 times and no longer feels the need to explain anything since all the people in his stream also know everything that is happening by heart. That's something I always like about GDQ since they always try to explain what is happening.

I tried to get into speed running once when I was younger and quickly realized it’s a sad and pointless way to waste your life. Literally nobody cares if you can beat a game fast. It’s a little magic trick that a few mentally ill people find amusing for a few seconds and then they’ve moved on and forgotten about you. Practicing speed running in no way hones your skills or improves your life, you are literally wasting away your life doing this shit. You’re better off sitting down and casually enjoying a game, at least that is a form of relaxation without stress involved.

Once it's no longer fashionable they'll detransition and blame the progressive left for lying to them or whatever. They're just retards that go from one life crisis to the next. Guess the ones that actually cut their dicks off can't detransition though LMAO

I wish I enjoyed playing OoT more, it's the foundation for so much of the series and the randomizer looks really neat. It just never clicked for me, even as a lifelong Zelda fan.

I have tried it in the past. It can be really fun depending on the game, if you enjoy the execution and routing aspect of it. I have never taken it to the point where I'm competing for records, though.

That's far. I've always loved the game pushing it mechanically is god damn fun to me but when it comes to other Zeldas, they don't click that way for me. Majora's Mask in particular is so close to OoT yet has some really dumb tiny gameplay changes that makes it incredibly jarring for me to play. Honestly, everybody has that one game they passionately love even if it's not Zelda, you don't have to speedrun it either but going back and learning to push it mechanically can breathe new life into the game for you for a whole new experience all over again.
