Why don't people seem to like space games? It's one of the only genres I can bet on to never crack the mainstream and, when the masses try it, they hate it.

I like space sims.
But no one is making them anymore.
I only have Elite Dangerous, SC, Evochron (ignoring niche games like Pioneer), Infinite battlespace (pvp flop) and never ever Black pvp flop game. Only Evochron and Infinite Battlespace have Newtonian Physics.
Nebulos is good too but it's pvp tactical game

Because most of them suck.

Space autists shouldn't be allowed near any sort of generation algorithm or content creation design and should exclusively be allowed to work on flight systems for better games.

People are generally not expansive and have no interest in possibilities.

Every attempt at "hard sci fi" games flounder, fail, or fizzle out. At some point, developers need to accept this pattern and start making pulp sci fi space games. Give us more Flash Gordon shit and alien babes wearing nothing but a fishbowl helmet.
