There is no bad Fire Emblem games. They're all fun (yes, I have played them all). I just restarted Awakening, gonna do a run where I save edit Robin to have an S rank with everyone and only use girls + Chrom + Robin. I already save edited a leveled down Aversa in. And it's FUN.

On a first playthrough, Dragon's Gate is one of the maps that feels like shit is getting real. On a subsequent playthrough, it's really easy. I failed to go fast enough to recruit Legault in my last Ironman, I felt like a retard.
Blood of Pride is funny because it introduces having units stand on specific tiles to make stuff happen and then they never used it again?

Sometimes I really envy the waifu anons who can so easily pick an overall favorite. But for GBA girls, I'd have to say Fiora was my first and still a favorite. Tana, Priscilla, and Tate get special mentions.
Badon is comfy to me too, it felt like a place where people actually live. I also like Sands of Time, and how it used some of the same pieces of the map from the other Ostia map in FE6.

It's been Camilla for me since that first trailer. That S support sealed the deal permanently. Being an obscenely good unit in my second favorite class in the series only made her cooler (with my favorite being Dark Flier).

I think that's what I like about it so much. Kinda feels like they don't do maps like that after GBA. Defending Tahra is another map that feels like people actually live, too.

Little callback details like this always make me smile. I wouldn't mind a sequel or prequel game again.

The only problem I really had with FE6/7 was the fact that they were made with the sequel first, and probably no intention of making another game in the same world at the time. Other than the obvious "what happened to X character" between the games, there's a few things that are never explained that would have been nice to see resolved in some way.

Assuming you're talking about that map in FE9, I like that one too. It really drove home that you were fighting in someone's home, and the war was inevitably going to cause a huge amount of collateral damage, no matter who was in the right.

I still haven't played Thracia and didn't remember the name of the FE9 map, my bad. But that looks like an actual proper city, not just a couple of houses. Now that I think of it, I think a couple of FE6 maps may have had a few houses like that as well and felt like real villages, but nowhere near that many.
And yeah, that's the one. As I remember, most of the story there was told in the pre and post chapter cutscenes unfortunately, not through the residents of the houses.
