A few games. I'm about 2/5 of the way through The Room Three. These games are really short, and not very challenging as far as puzzles go, but they look cool and they're cheap (or at least the ones I already bought were cheap when they were on sale; I think there's a 4th one now).

Also nearly done replaying Alan Wake.
No, I haven't played Alan Wake 2, and I probably won't play it soon. I haven't played Control yet either, and I'd probably have to play that first so as not to feel like I'm missing something. I suppose I should want to play Control next anyway, because it's a better game from what I've heard.
In the meantime, there's no rush to get to it, because I don't actually feel that Alan Wake needed a sequel. The "it's not a lake, it's an ocean" ending was perfectly fine. So was the pre-Episodes ending of Half-Life 2.

Also played some Cash Cow DX.
This and Donut Dodo (same developer) are pretty good if you like arcade-style games. I haven't played Looney Landers yet. I don't know why Cash Cow DX is the only one of this developer's games that has a Linux port.

Mainly these, and testing Bloodborne and the new MK64 port a little.
The new Diegolix29 build has reduced the Vertex explosions to a playable level. They're not there most of the time but when it appears you can reload or TP and it's gone.

on linux there are different userspace drivers for amd.
amdvlk is the official vulkan driver by amd themselves intended for general use.
amdgpupro is also by amd and intended for professional apps.
radv is a driver by valve intended for steam deck but it also works desktop/laptop amd gpus.
the radv driver is a lot better than the amdvlk or amdgpupro, like 30-50% fps wise better in some titles. also fixes various bugs for games that game developers wont fix but valve/open source community will.

on windows there is no such thing as radv. the vulkan driver on windows for amd is a port of amdvlk.

You do, actually, having gone out of your way to come into a Linux thread just to point out that you don't use Linux. No one asked for a justification of your decision to use Windows but you announced it anyway. And I'm not defending anything. Windows is easier for gaming, so use it and go away.

I've played some games that have a Linux port but no Steam Cloud configuration for Linux, and even some Linux ports that do have a cloud config but it points to the wrong folder because the developer is stupid (and these can usually be fixed with a symbolic link), but I don't think I've ever had a Steam Cloud issue with a Windows game.
Anonymous No.713394724 [Report] >>713402372

Yeah most linux ports are just wrong path, but steam don't sync stuff like screenshots.

Only reason that I still have windows partition is because VNs are annoying as fuck to run under linux, specially older ones.

AW2 is a fun game certain elements of it get stale on replays, but the first experience is special if you let yourself get invested and sucked in. Then the game has the giant pro of shifting on DEI in the ending segments, literally mocking people who talk about "muh black female protagonists are so strong and necessary!!!" I haven't played the DLCs, so I can't speak on them, but I pirated AW2 completed it twice. Can't be sunk cost for me. It's a solid game. Not a 9/10, but definitely a 7.5 at minimum. Very, very few games balance action, horror, worldbuilding, and story as well as AW2 does. I hope you give it an honest shot sometime in the future. No rush though.

I've been playing modded Minecraft with the homies and I just started No Rest For the Wicked. Haven't played MC in many, many, many years, so it's been a treat. I really love building in games. In this group of friends I'm always the one building, but this time around I didn't make a base for us. I just built my own little treehouse and the rest of my immediate group are living like bums.

There is almost no difference for old uarch and in fact RDNA4 performs better on amdvlk than radv.
The issues you're having on Windows are due to poor I/O on Windows and a bad scheduler. Assuming you're using vkd3d and dxvk on Windows and not native DX12.

One might wonder how can these people have so many issues on Linux when your system works fine and games just work.
But then consider that these are the same people who have constant issues on Windows. When I used Windows I virtually never had the problems people were talking about and anything that rarely popped up was easy to troubleshoot. I switched to Linux because it suits me better not because I hate Windows. I don't and I still use it at work. It's the same people, often complete idiots and former consolefags, that think PC gaming involves hours of tweaking and setup.
As always, the problem is not Windows, it's not Linux but the person in front of the computer.
There are legitimate concerns with Linux like a lack of proper sandboxing and properly configured MAC by default on most distros (Fedora being a rare counterexample), some software not being available or not having feature parity with Windows and macOS version and the difficulty associated with unstable (as in constantly changing, not unreliable) APIs making one-and-done software releases like video games a pain since the OS model expects all software to be maintained indefinitely.
