What's your video game obsession?
>my hyperfixation is for akira elevators
why
only half life, sonic adventure 2, and cyberpunk had them
>>713402085I'm sure at least one 2D beat em up has them.
>>713402085Metal gear solid
You fucking clueless zoomer
Also stellar blade
Elves

For me, it's games with Japanese-style Elves.
>>713401969 (OP)Metal slug 7 had a interesting level with such an elevator
>>713402085Devil May Cry too my dude.
>>713402085devil may cry 2 also had them
>>713401969 (OP)BoF5 final boss is on OPs pic.
>>713401969 (OP)The best one of these will always be the elevator in Akira. Why haven't games gotten their Akira Elevator moment yet?
Save spots in surprisingly cozy spaces. Bonus points if the rest of the game is more frantic.
>>713402085There's one in the the lonesome road dlc for new Vegas.
>>713402085Fallout New Vegas: Lonesome Road. you fight tunnelers in it
>>713401969 (OP)I fucking cheer every time i play an old Capcom game and see this lil nigga.
>>713401969 (OP)Wait until he hears about escalators
>>713402085Alien Swarm literally has a level sequence with them

Also Contra probably
zoomers entire lives have been inside an incubator of social media skinner boxes.
They are like human experiments, a human AI who generates upvotes on their social media account.
>>713402591I like the silent hill remake but the absolute lack of comfy like your pic is a huge strike against it. Fucking slavs.
>>713401969 (OP)spiderman pizza song reference
>>713402752I seriously wonder about this more and more. Algorithms are in control.
>>713402752let the guy talk about diagonal elevators if he wants to. people like him make the world interesting
>>713402085FFXIV has a boss fight on one.
>>713402752yeah they don't experience a world where every interaction they have off or online isn't considered content for some marketing algorith. Every discussion or statement is an ad or powers an algorithm to feed them ads. It's really fucking bleak.
>>713402085They just added one to FFXIV, and I reckon there are probably others earlier in the game I'm forgetting
>>713403715Huh I was right I was forgetting at least one
>>713403581but even reading that I can't remember what it was
>>713403806Oh right i'm retarded, Gaius
>>713401969 (OP)>20 minute video>not a 2 hour 45 minute videoNot obsessed. Nigger slop media.
>>713402085isnt there one in a halo game?
Games where you take a quiz at the begining and that defines your build, class and other kind of stuff.
I love that shit, man. It's like horoscope for nerds without being gay like those personality types things.
It also makes every playthrough mostly unique and personalized to some level.
It's just something i really really like.
Surprisingly, i know few games that do this:
>Pokemon Mystery Dungeon
>Growlanser and Langrisser series
>Jojo 7th Stand User
I'm sure there are more but these are the ones i've tried.
>>713402756I think it's only a funicular if there's 2 of them
It really soothes my autism when a game has lore descriptions for any random item in a game, I think the Pikmin 2 Piklopedia gave me a love for this kind of stuff.
>>713401969 (OP)Train turntables and railway infrastructure. I love these things.
>>713404560The one that inspired them all
Dragon Quest 3
I always make a point of checking if bathrooms in video games have urinals in the men's and none in the women's, but I don't keep a list for ones that fail that check. There have been a few though.
I enjoy games that let you light torches on walls, particularly if the game has good lighting.
>>713402085Xenoblade Chronicles iirc
Mirrors. I used to always fantasize about making a YouTube channel that only showcased mirrors in games with their unique implementations.
>>713404880The Metroid Prime trilogy logbooks were like crack to me. Even on replays, I absolutely must scan everything.
>>713401969 (OP)I must find every secret in every map. I don't care about doing achievements. I need to know every secret each map has
>>713402085Didn't one of the Streets of Rage had one?
Also, Fear 2.
Doom and Rage has some similar
>>713401969 (OP)I don't have any. I play a game until I get bored or finish the story then I play another game and so on. I used to be obsessed with MMOs to the point that I would play them for 8 hours a day, but continue thinking about them even when I wasn't playing, but I don't play those anymore.
>>713402085Prey (2017) has one
>>713402085several of the MGS games have 'em
>>713405928>Doom and Ragesounds like the name of a queer pixel slop earthbound clone made by a single tranny.
>>713402085I think transformers devastations and vanquish vave them too. and ofc several games.
>>713402085Terranigma
Also the crashed frigate in Metroid Prime
ornate lamp-lit cobblestone pathways.
glowing crystals
bioluminescent plants
>>713402085this was kinda based how you're obviously a slanted elevator fetishist and you just baited all these people in to giving you fresh goon fuel
>>713401969 (OP)I’m honestly surprised this video didn’t include Xenoblade Chronicles 1 or Sonic Adventure 2. I can forgive the former since that game is relatively niche, but almost EVERYONE has played SA2 at some point.
>>713401969 (OP)killing boss with 1% health left
>>713402226I think AVP capcom had them.
