I have not really messed around with it, but I have seen it on YouTube and it definitely looks interesting.

Had a lot of time today, so I animated the boss for my level. This is the animation that plays once you defeat him, and he slowly sinks into lava. Next up, I gotta texture him and model the head.

Pretty sure this is geared for japanese dlsite kusoge released a year from now. Everyone else should just use godot since that's what's powering it.

You know the people that made rpg maker? Well this is made by the same people but instead of making rpgs you can make mario clones without the need to code

>GameMaker/Clickteam Fusion/Construct people

The former uses its own language of programming and the latter 2 while offering ''no coding'' it uses switches and variable clicks via scripting orders and are confusing as hell, specially when they DONT TELL YOU what are the options for and using weird terms and multisteps just for one simnple action.

If I know nothing about coding, art, and music, what programming language should I start learning with the intent of making a game?
I hear C++ is the go-to language for making games

C++ is the language for AAA dev because everyone there uses Unreal.
C# is more common for indie since you get Unity, Godot, more approachable for beginners too I'd say?

Generally if you learn one you'll have an easy time with others. Same logic, different wording.

Yeah man, while pretty much everything up to about 2006 was ASM or C or C++, you don't want to start with that. Leave that shit to engine devs, man.
What you want to do is extract max cummies from furries ASAP, while the world is burning, which you do by flipping furry porn on a prebaked engine, like Godo/Unity
For inspiration, look how fagoon made millions on lizardporn

I wasn't impressed. I felt that the options were pretty lacking and had to resort to coding pretty quickly. It had an option to convert visual blocks to raw code at least.
But I haven't used the ones Godot and Unity have so I can't say if it's worse or on par.

gamedev on 4chan is dying and the shizos from /agdg/ are killing it. No one will post their progress when it means that they will be either doxxed or associated with CSAM posters.

Won't they just flock here as well?

The ironic part is that it's /agdg/ refugees/schizos spamming these threads. They should REALLY only be posted maybe once to twice a week at most.
>>713426345
No, since the schizos ruining it get banned 5 times a day each and simply ban evade. Our only hope is some of them get van'd but since they are all south american that day will probably never come.

I checked out r/gamedev for more input but everyone is just obsessed with """""marketing""""".
And they don't even understand the term, mistaking advertising for marketing.

I wasn't trying to make a professional game. I was treating gamedev as a hobby. With that in mind, why would I pay someone to work on my amateur game?

>why would I pay someone to work on my amateur game?
Why not, at least if you have some disposable income to afford it? If I were making a game, no matter how amateur, I'd want the result to look good so I can look back at it without feeling shame.
