>>713403646 (OP) $20 chinkshit pads have the same feeling sticks but are much better with hall effect. buying this is no different than paying a 300% apple tax.
>>713403646 (OP) It's a nice controller. But it's kind of weird, it feels better in my hand than the PS5 controller does, but it also makes my hands hurt after a while, which the PS5 controller doesn't. Like after I play with the Switch 2 Pro controller I need to stretch my hands out.
>>713403646 (OP) because they put rubber around the stick holes so when you're moving the stick about it feels smoother, they do the same with buttons so at maximum press they hit rubber which reduces noises. then they adsd soft touch material to the housing. its a nice cheap way to make the shitty alps pots feel more "premium" so you can think paying 85 dollars is worth it for the same old shit.
iirc it's a similar mechanism to what exists in a "zeus" controller whose full name escapes me
the analog sticks on both the pro and the joycons are SILKY fucking smooth, i'm legitimately impressed

>>713403839 I think your hand is hurting because you are pressing shit too hard >>713403889 Dpad isn’t squeaky at all but it’s too sensitive in my opinion and no click, these are definitely the smoothest analog sticks you’ve ever used
>>713403839 I actually feel the same way. objectively from an initial comfort standpoint the pro 2 is very good but there is minor strain after a session. My theory is that because mario kart is light on right stick use you are always on the A button, and the A button is not really the most ergonomic part of the controller for prolonged periods because your palm isn't fully resting on the grip
>>713403968 The sticks don't make contact with the sides. There's a restrictor inside the stick to stop it from hitting which is why it feels so frictionless; because it literally is frictionless.
>>713403839 It made my hands hurt for the first few days of using it, but it doesn’t anymore. I think my hands just needed to “learn” how to hold it the right way.

>>713404286 youre so right, I love paying more money for less features without being able to repair or replace any of the components myself so that way I get to buy it all over again!!! shiny logo means its good!!!
>>713404269 Ah, that makes sense to me. I'll see how it feels after playing another game for a while.

>>713404491 They really don’t use analogue triggers much at all outside of the gimmick water pressure in sunshine which barely serves a purpose Almost all games are either full send or full send to get to the second stage The only reason people like it is because it feels cool
>mogs all modern controllers basically all you ever want in a controller >muh hall effect hall effect faggots are even more annoying than tendies, they have their own issues too
>>713404707 >drifting in f zero >light shielding in melee >running spray nozzle in sunshine >camera control in wind waker >suction strength in luigis mansion
I mean yeah it isnt THAT vital but for melee and f zero they are absolutely a requirement

shall I go on. The pro controller 2 mogs the fuck out of this
Im not saying its the best controller ever but for 20 fucking dollars its insane how good these are. funny how 3rd party controllers use to be total cancer in the mad catz era but now they mog the OEMs

>>713404752 microswitch shoulder buttons are a dealbreaker, these fail almost as much as the stick boxes. However microsoft is based for AA batteries. Some people have not experienced the joy of replacing your dead rechargables in 1 minute with a new pair for an immediate 30 hour battery refill
I don't understand people who complain about the D pad. Dpad accuracy only matters for 2d platformers, and if you're playing those regularly just get a dedicated controller. You can get a SNES style controller for like 30 bucks which will be infinitely superior to any normal controller.
>>713405164 imagine the joy of using a wired controller and never having to charge or buy batteries ever
its bliss

>>713405232 The dpad is good for rolling, not as good for cardinal direction only
>>713404410 it also features splatoon, and analog triggers would suck horribly for splatoon. considering like 80% of all hours played on all switch procons in the world are on splatoon, nintendo has to take that into account.
>>713405010 >not enjoying clicky dpad >who the fuck uses batteries with controllers and not wired the button size doesn't matter to me but I kinda wish they were flat like snoy's I'll give to you for the sticks though, drift is like RNG with these things could be 2 years or 2 months

>>713405320 it is awful for rolling. Even with the new pivot (original switch pro pre-revision had no pivot lmao) you have the tactical precision of an elephant's foot. the d-pad is designed for children not to get fatigued but results in oversensitivity/undesired inputs
>>713405791 I had no problem doing zangief and Manon command throws over and over as well as consecutive hadoukens and shoryukens The dpad is good for rolling anon
I'd just use the right analogue stick for acceleration and braking for Grid Autosport instead. Worked out really nicely.

>>713405924 for fighitng game quarter circle inputs I could see it being ok. When I think of rolling I think of using a d-pad with the thumb in the middle and never taking it off. So 'rolling' your thumb to the direction you want to go rather than lifting your thumb to the new direction
>>713406068 Then we were thinking of different things I meant rolling for commands from one direction to another I call what you said normal dpad use for cardinal directions, not really rolling at all Which I said is not great for

>>713405232 Dpad also matters for fighting games because those dedicated "fightpads" are fucking awful and pad players don't want to learn stick/leverless, so most just stick with the regular controller Not like you'll be playing street fighter 6 on the tendie console but shitty dpad complaints are valid
