Triple digits > double digits > quadruple digits > anything higher or lower

it allows for more variables.
a skills that gives 1% increase to attack won't have any effect if you're only doing 20 damage.
sure you could make the numbers decimals, but then the numbers become even longer.
You could hide the decimals, but then it's harder to crunch the numbers and you lose out on information.
