I thought that lesbian romance subplot was a little out of left field but I guess Nintendo really wants that good press for end-of-year awards and rankings.

Not gonna lie I had tears in my eyes when Mario finally accepted that his life didn't just belong to him and that he had to step up to being Pauline 2's father, and him bequeathing one of his hats was a sweet moment. But recoordinating to Mario Odyssey-style gameplay for that section after hours with DK and years since Odyssey and hurling you into platform hell was a bitch move.

Nah, her final fight with samus devolving into a catfight was kino of the highest calibe.

I don't like the glory kills I don't think it adds anything to see Samus performing overly enthusiastic laser eye surgery takedowns on space pirates
