Wrong. They made zero effort to appeal to "tourneyfags". No shields or throws. Shitty floaty movement. These laughable hurtboxes that they eventually fixed. It was in no way an effort to appeal to pro players. Sure they throw some money at tournaments but that's standard marketing stuff every big budget MP game does.
