Monolith Soft claims that Xenoblade will continue after 3, but a Xenoblade 4 would be it's own thing disconnected from the Klaus trilogy (1, 2, 3).

I hope it's true, but I also hope that they change the name to Xeno(something else) because Blade will give people the wrong idea. But then again the only reason Xenoblade X was called Xenoblade to begin with was because of the combat system and open world so if they use the same systems it'll probably still be a Xenoblade game.

Also they said whatever comes next will be disconnected from Klaus, not necessarily being a brand new thing altogether so it'll probably be some bastardized Xenosaga rehash that's bruteforced to be canon with Xenoblade since they teased it in Future Redeemed.

Xenoblade 1 was never meant to be a Xeno game or a series until late into development at the behest of Iwata suggesting they change the name of Monado to Xenoblade for sentimentality's sake.

Xenoblade 1's sleeper success convinced Takahashi to try and "complete" Perfect Works restarting again with Xenoblade 2 and retroactively bringing Xenoblade 1 back into it, and finishing with Future Redeemed.

XC3 was nominated for game of the year and sold pretty well for a JRPG, so I don't think they're burying the series anytime soon. All I hope is that a new Xeno game doesn't include nopon, fuck those annoying bastards.
