LLMs are insanely good at automating a lot of grindy in-between processes in most applications, but they're absolutely fucking garbage at the initial and final stages of content production. An LLM is garbage at outlining difficult or novel code, and it's garbage at doing quality control, but it's great at starting from a well-defined program outline and filling in standard algorithms to a point where an experienced programmer can start going through and doing cleanup, optimization, and debugging. An LLM is garbage at concepts and storyboards, and it's garbage at doing final passes and edits, but it's perfect for doing in-betweens in animation or doing first-pass cleanup on sketches.
People keep trying to use AI as a total replacement - a one-stop shop to from the most basic inklings of an idea to a finished product - and it's not optimal for that, and it's also those beginning and ending points that most people regard as the bulk of the creative input and actual skill (which are where people have a problem with using AI).
If people actually used AI for what it was good for, fewer people would have a problem with it.
