okay okay okay I think I've got it
it's kind of meta, kind of cheeky, plays with some of the topical things happening right now
>the map is a Ubisoft style video games company based in an obnoxious but not necessarily french or french-canadian accent land
>there's three overlapping layers to the map where the main targets do their rounds inbetween
>the CEO of the company stays in the business offices on the top, occasionally making a detour to a "relaxation room" full of plants and obnoxious postmodern furniture or doing lines in a bathroom stall on his way to a meeting in the boardroom
>some asshole game dev is trying to push his idea about remaking a beloved game and everybody hates it but he's forcing his department to remake the whole game anyway, he's generally micromanaging in the labs where there are nerds he can berate all day, aside from being called upstairs to be screamed at by the CEO, who isn't happy with the progress being made
>bottom layer of the offices is the reception and recreation rooms where annoying millennials play ping pong and eat pizza and make shitty tiktok reels of their day at work at a games company lol, this is where some sleazy games journalist is waiting for an interview with the game dev who is pushing his idea for a remake
>you can arrange it to get all three in one room at the same time by messing around with the schedule in the reception computers in order to get a kill on all three at once
>if the alarm is triggered, the safe area is on the roof, but only the game dev and CEO go there

so it'd basically be like the Black Flag present-day sequences, but not shit
and relevant!

In 2016 in the surveys I pitched a train level that starts in a train station. trigger the train or wait for long enough and the target gets on; if you're still in the station you lose. But that was one thought of many regarding actual npc schedules instead of proximity triggers and such.
But that was also at a time when they still had separate camera circuits.

that's really cool too
it's a level in two parts
part one is this train station of a suitable size and you have to find the information about which platform
part two is getting on the right train and isolating the target to get the kill

love that
there's so much you can do with the WoA as a base game
happy IOI got a chance to do a bond game but I want more hitman levels, like this, that's just neat

really that's the most important part
a game developers offices could work well as a level though
I'm trying to think about the levels of permission and how the routes of the targets would interact with each other to create a cozy map where you can shoot game developers and journalists, yes

agatha christie type closed circle mission where guests are dying one by one on an island mansion during a storm and you sneak in to kill the orchestrator. it's possible to save or accelerate the death of guests to change how the mission plays out and all in all this level will be impossible to make because the npc interactions alone would be more involved than an entire hitman game

I have a few ideas:

>gaming or furry convention (includes jokes about the bad hygiene, has a variety of disguises, and allows you to attend both the convention halls and hotel rooms). Targets are a celebrity guest attending the con, and also the hotel manager/con organiser.

>maximum security prison where the target is an inmate and also the prison warden. Make it so you have to go in with no equipment for an extra challenge and can’t bring in unlocks until you beat the level for the first time.

>The Po family palace in Khandanyang. They’ve been teasing this, but nothing’s came of it.

>University campus at night where the targets are a frat boy attending a frat party and a lecturer doing night classes. There’s a forest with log cabins around, so the level also doubles up as a Friday the 13th/slasher movie homage.
>>713440378

I was just having a little fun there
there is a very natural implied level of permissions in a place like a video game developers offices that the people making this game already know very well
it'd be funny

Hitman WoA is like weirdly aggressively apolitical in the way it displays its "political" targets so it doesn't matter right

even if it's like just the most basic comicon nerd fest happening in a conference hall in some hotel
>limitless supply of nerdy and hilarious disguises
>massive crowds and stocks full of nerd weapons like zombie knives and katanas
>attached hotel with accessible rooms that nerds in costumes are walking back and forth from in a state of inebriation as they look for an ewok to fuck
it'd just be fun, man

feel if you make it explicitly furry though what starts as an assassination just becomes a slaughter
the average player will not be able to stop shooting

the target can be someone like Tim Allen in Galaxy Quest, doing a bad Shatner, if we can't just literally get Shatner, who would probably be open to doing that, lots of cool celebrities have done that now

more to the point I love maps where I can just hang out and have fun before I get to the murdering

tough one since the series has covered a lot of options already. an active combat zone where you have to kill the leader of a terrorist cell could be interesting

something else that just came into my mind is an entirely vertical level in an office highrise building, having to deal with multiple layers of security each floor trying to each your target on the top floor.

I think the only problem with the active war zone one is that you would need as system where NPCs can fight eachother. That doesn’t exist in the game (presumably because the engine can’t handle it, I’m guessing).

Also, I feel like a war zone wouldn’t have many creative kill opportunities aside from maybe drone strikes.

Synagogue level.
Main objective is to kill a child trafficker and pederast rabbi and then infiltrate the tunnels underneath to kill the rest of the pedo jews while they're engaged in a blood libel ritual. Client also wants you to rescue his kid that was kidnapped by them (if he's still alive), but you also have the optional objective of freeing all the kids and taking hidden documents regarding the child trafficking and organ harvesting.

the elusive target they had there was fun, I did that
all based in the streets, he was like a boxer with a drug addiction
pretty fun target, they didn't even give me a suit
the level does not have a suit

Hitman WoA3 started off very strong and then it just like tapers in and everything at the end here is like an afterthought they had, mostly in service to finishing the "plot"
maybe that level might have had more elusive targets if there was actually more level
I get the criticisms

feels like they were forgetting what they were actually good at, which is weird

why not have an entire strip mall level with multiple fast food resturants, a walmart-like supermarket, a wafflehouse and dennys whos perpetually hungover patronsare at war with each other, a gas station, and a road that will absolutely kill you if you run across it
why not have it all in one big level

that's the american dream right there

i dont know how it is nowadays but im sure if you buy WoA you get the levels of all 3 games? pretty solid deal, especially on a sale. and yes, its worth it, the levels themselves offer a lot of replayability and the roguelite mode is the cherry on top

the story and the opportunities system it uses to guide you kind of holds your hand too much imo but it gets you thru the levels plot alright
that's a totally fine way to play it if you want

freelancer mode does it for a lot of people, the hitmansion may even be a nice place to hang out, doesn't scratch my itch that way

>someone at the agency leaks 47's existence to a media outlet
easy homage to the Blood Money funeral mission
>47 has to kill someone in a high foot traffic area. mass shooter scenario happens as you're entering the area.
you have to eliminate your target without getting compromised by first responders. could lead to a grand conspiracy where that mass shooting was a falseflag planned to disguise the hit
>infiltrate a safehouse used by human traffickers
culminates in a woman trying to thank 47 and he's all NOWAYFAG

not even remotely
it'd be a great level
I like levels where there's opportunities to poke a little bit of fun at the culture
this is no more egregious than a level like mumbai is it

like I said earlier, Hitman WoA has this almost aggressively apolitical lens with which it views the global politics and the insidious conspiracies you tangle with in that game, I think you can get some fun gameplay out of an environment like a strip mall set in the middle of buttfuck America
it has uniforms, it has interesting weaponary and machinery within an arms reach, has a clearly defined security force and non-public areas as well as publically accessible frontfacing areas
I don't know why it's so hard for people in this thread to understand I'm just being totally legit and trying to think about how the games mechanics could fit into these kind of areas

Speaking of levels: does anyone know a way to play this map without massive FPS drops? I doubt I'm the only one. All other maps work mostly fine
I'm using NVIDIA's DLLS adaptive sampling because if I don't it looks very bad, but even on low settings the maps drops to very low fps. I have an RTX 2060

When you reach Chongqing, you’re officially in the “endgame” of the campaign, so they really needed to wrap up the plot threads they established. Most Hitman games do this, where the later levels become slightly more plot-centric.

My idea for this idea is a gridlocked intersection with a massive traffic jam going on, and the target is caught up in it, so they abandon their car and start wandering around the gas stations and fast food joints in addition to trying to book a room in a motel. There’s a huge amount of potential for accident kills there.

there's that and then the train right after it's like
for this specific iteration of Hitman, which had so much said about its level design and the relationship they have with their fans in creating this rolling seasonal format in this base engine, maybe going that route could have been thought over some more?
I don't feel like the game succeeded because of the episodic narrative in the plot but because they were large spaces full of weapons and interesting strategies for taking out targets

I get it is the ending but eh, it wasn't great, felt a bit ripped off after that honestly

>>713449312
oh that's a great fucking angle actually
it's like the beginning of Falling Down and like all around are distractions for the target while he wanders to and from his convoy vehicle or whatever

A fancy golf course with a big clubouse building and a large course you can explore. It'd have a good mixture of interior and exterior areas and you could have the targets be a mixture of players and VIPs there.

There'd be a mission story to replace the caddie of one of the players and have him hit is ball into the head of one of the targets or something.

A game where 47 hunts down the russian oligarchs and main figureheads of the FSB would be top kino. You have the usual high class settings like the amalfi coast where they keep their yachts or kensington where their sons live, but you can also have the derelict hull of the kutznetsov, the moldy soviet interiors of the lubjanka, the dachas on siberia or the shipyards in vladivostok etc.

If they're going to force online, the least they could do is have a level where there's another hitman in disguise and they're another player but neither player knows it and the game never tells you. Now that'd be kino.
