It's more like modern UI, graphics and models have become so unimaginative and homogenized that games have become increasingly indistinguishable from each other, a modern commonly used engine is merely an easy target for something that's far deeper set in the industry.

A lot of UE5 games leverage the same stock Quixel assets/Nanite/Lumen settings, and the worst offender that I fucking see no one talk about: Meta Humans.
