Are these games any good? I only know them from seeing them cheap on sale. Never seen a thread here.

They're all a bit different when it comes to genre, but I liked the Steamworld Heist games. The music was one of the best parts.

Gotta be honest here. I didn't like SteamWorld Dig.
Can't say much beyond that it was... boring. Nothing really remarkable about it.

The sequel expands on the gameplay of the first, but if you can get the first cheap (or free) then I still thin it's worth playing.

Yeah the first is $1 on Steam while the second is still $30 so I'll give it a go.

Build is kind of a shit game in the sense that it offers minimal challenge and it's hard to "fail", but its comfy and really nails that feeling of progressing towards a goal with new tech and threats etc

All Steamworld games are actually pretty good especially considering the fact the the franchise is composed of several different genres by this point.

>Steamworld Dig 3
>you travel from chunk to chunk of the fractured earth
>collecting minerals, aiding people, fighting space shiners and vectron niggas
>maybe you side a bit with the dieselbots (or get deceived by them) to install the chains from the royalist master plan
>have to manage your little space caravan with money/resources/water
just spitballing some ideas here, but I think going from chunk-to-chunk unearthing goodies sounds fun
and maybe there being a fucking enormous chunk that works as a main dungeon/progression would be great
