It's gonna be so fucking funny when the next Paper Mario is announced and it's Sticker Star 4 again instead of TTYD 2 like people thought it would be and they realized they bought a $60 demake for nothing

A PM64 remake might be cool, too, tho

I wish they did this instead of TTYD. PM64 with TTYD's gameplay improvements would make it the best game in my eyes

I'm playing through PM64 for the umpteenth time right now, and the whole time I've been thinking how good it would be if they remade it in the same style as the TTYD remake. Partners with HP, new badges, new bosses, battle audience, superguarding, etc. Of course, the difficulty should be scaled accordingly. But I think it would be a fantastic game.

Why did PM TOK attract so many autistic kids?
>hur dur all paper mario fans are autistic
No I mean genuinely. Ignoring anyone above 18+ who are your typical neckbeard nintenders, what was it about this specific game which not only attracted autistic kids, but autistic kids who flock to youtube, deviantart, twitter and other social media?

Nintendo's obsession with pointless innovation, and gimmicks causing them to forgo winning strategies in favour of new ones, for the better, and worse is annoying. I'm pretty sure I remember hearing TTYD only got greenlit because of the swarm-scenes showcasing the power of the gamecube, and that shit was one of the weakest parts of TTYD - it's a spectacle that loses novelty after the first couple of times
>Dude, look at all these sprites on screen

The game was the least shitty of the Nu Games therefore they wanted to somehow pretend that it was on the level of the first two games
The amount of people trying to say Origami King is "better than TTYD" is mind boggling
