SH2 is the divisive one because it borders on being a movie game. The game only had like 7 enemies (8 if you count the bugs) and apparently the director wanted even less.
It still mogs the remake.

such a fucking 4chan opinion. its got combat, zone exploration, puzzles, skippable cutscenes, a god damn speedrun stat and grade ranking, and the games several endings are all tied to the things you choose to do as james, not a branching dialogue tree. i can't even think of a single other relevant metric. just because the story isnt forgettable garbage doesn't mean that its not a video game.
