>Dragon Age Inquisition
My game compy was genuinely cursed and everything had about 100x the hp as it should. I managed to use mods to turn myself overpowered and it barely made shit faster but once I got to the Tresspasser dlc Ironbukl was genuinely unkillable. None of my mods gave unkillable to anyone and I didn't given him any gear to be unkillable either. I was so passed off after the miserable playthrough I endured and never found out why my game was so fucking cursed. It didn't flip the difficulty on my ass nor did the modifiers turn on it just was a genuine break. I YouTube the fucking end of the game and feel so cheated but the game was shit (to play) anyway. The only other time I experienced a nonexistent bug was in Thief 2 where a quest flag on the final mission never happened no matter how many times I restarted and I also was unable to complete that game. Despite that I still had fun plaything through it unlike DAI.

It was alright. Fishing for diamonds to upgrade your weapon was tedious for sure and the city building was retarded too
>here's some buildings you can arrange any way you want to build the town however you like it :)
>actually there is only one very specific layout the town should be in otherwise the townies aren't happy and you don't get rewards
This is the kind of game that could benefit massively from a remake. Some tweaks and fixes here and there and we got a banger on our hands

You fucking wish it could kiss Super Mario Sunshine's heel. both DC1&2 were always bad, and even aged worse. There are good ps2 games, these are not one of them. Good aesthetics for the cover tho, almost makes you think that you're playing a good game.

Kinda game you're playing when you don't feel like playing an actually good game.

Absolutely based. The flotsam circus theme gives me Italian carnival vibes and I fucking love it. Shame they never made a third game. If they had made one that time traveled and tied into the creation of the dark genie and the atlamillia it would have been amazing. Then release a dlc where you break the cycle marvel style with the heroes of all the games making cameos and participating in some kind of mass effect 2 final battle. Would have been masterclass... What could have been. Same shit with MegaMan legends 3.

This. My favorites were serpent sword, shamshir seventh heaven, crysknife and chopper, in that order. Serpent sword looked like it was made of orange volcanic glass. So cool.

I dont remember whats optimal in that game. I havent played it in maybe more than 15 years. I'm a FF kinda guy now even tho that series is dead too unless they finally return to form while learning about modern JRPGs that evolved their systems & didnt let themselves be stuck in a dead past. these RPGs & JRPGs in general still got a place in gaming but devs dont know how to pull them off anymore.

idk i bet, like i know there is soul in that game a fuck ton of it even in the town building aspect but i dont feel like it right now. its a game that went underappreciated because of its main gameplay "loop" of dungeon crawling which can be tedious but i found it comfy & then returning to the town over & over there is something to that routine happening in different enviroments, seeing the town slowly grow & at the end of a chapter you feel so accomplished like you really made meaningful change in a place you will leave behind to continue the journey then do it again somewhere else, etc. Feels good man.

jrpg i dont remember which one was the last one i played, some fromsoft slop. Elden Ring again at a friends house im pretty sure. Turn Based man i dont know i cant recall brains foggy. I think it was FF2 just to be a completionist it sucked and it was too easy.
Right now I'm playing Kenshi & I'm almost done with all of it I already saw all I had to see & I'm strong enough to kill Cat-lon & be done with it, but thats not a JRPG its a CRPG. It was fun, legit one of the most original settings i seen in fiction.

Ive played some MMOs so I didn't mind the change to combat too much, but I understand the critique. Managing the AI gambit system is tedious. But the art, design, world, quests and writing were all generally pretty good. Story was a bit on the simple side. Like you said though, Vaan is overshadowed and it hurts it. Also the music is fantastic.

Special little Early PS2 title. Town Building is awesome and for its time there was nothing like it. Imagine that a big ass RPG where you can build the world around you however you want it, but there's a level of mastery to it. Always so cool to go from the build view to the ground level and explore things up close. Was incredible. Also the music is all synthesized on the PS2. Love the opening theme still https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5gJ3qHyqCa4 and the game itself being one of those titles that separated the PS2 from the Dreamcast - predating the Xbox and Gamecube it was a summer game for me. I played it all Summer long in 2001 and have fond memories of figuring out all of its systems and earning new gear. It feels like a game that could only exist in that moment where developers were still figuring out how to make PS2 games. Also the drinkable water in Dungeons always looked ridiculously pretty the way it rippled dynamically.

That's the dungeon I was talking about. Griffon's castle was a breeze. The Zelmite Mines takes damn forever. What frustrates the hell out of me is that not even killing things from there can level Monica's transformations at a decent rate. Who thought it was a good idea to make the xp gain so low and have pretty much every one of them be next to useless aside from the Gemron?
