Not an oldfag per se, but definitely part of /v/ canon. He's about 28 and has run a Youtube channel where he exclusively plays games that have never had a recording uploaded to the internet at the time of the upload since about 2012 or 2011. I've talked to him several times and he's pretty cool. He'll give you a copy of any of his downloaded games if you ask; I even got the Anki deck he used to learn Japanese.

The Oldfag for me, though I might be a Gregor depending on what "/vr/ Cult Classics" are. Love King of Dragon Pass, for example. Over 200 hours in that game.

It depends. Surely even the most obscure games are "known" within their specific niche (like legacy console homebrew community). So, if I've played games that were spread in e.g. 80s-90s Finnish BBS, or created for fast compos in demoscene (make the game during the event, so 24h or so time limit, from a topic revealed at the event), then internationally they would be very obscure indeed, but I would expect many of my friends to know them also, because they consist of techy oldfags from the Nordics. Fuck, I've played games that haven't been played by anyone else but yours truly (because I made them as hobby projects but never made them available)!

But given that I have to ask, we're looking at the two of the "deepest" tiers.

I was introduced to Glorious Trainwrecks from Bennett Foddy's blog that he hasn't updated in 4 years (https://thatsnot.fun/), and I might have played Lost in the Static, but I'd call myself "Gregor" tier, since I haven't played anything in the Daemon tier.
