Given the context of that chart, I don't know if scifi is actually more popular than fantasy, but rather that men are disproportionately more interested in the philosophical and cultural critiques that scifi is often a vehicle for. There could be an equal amount of men that reviewed fantasy writing, just that the amount of females interested was also higher.
