>>713472593It's really good. I think it separates itself from others in the subgenre by making the main character understand his agency early on. That may sound dumb but I've noticed some romcoms expect that you to forget the main characters are in charge of the story.
I wrote out a small paragraph comparing the main character of Bokuyaba to Nagatoro's but it's shorter to say that Bokuyaba's plot is driven by consistent and meaningful character development. The main character goes from not talking to anyone to growing up and pursuing the girl.
