I have been working on Hytale for roughly 3-4 years. Internally this was still being discussed as only a small possibility that most of us on the team agreed wouldn't, and shouldn't, happen. This decision obviously came from someone in a higher position then us who did not disclose that this would be happening in advance. We were still working on a brand new update only 48~ hours before this article was posted and some of us, myself included, had only woken up to find out the game was canned in an email. All I will say is I'm extremely disappointed in how this was handled and I'm very saddened this decision was made without consulting the wider crew.
