Seriously, I haven't played one of these goddamn games since World At War. How did it turn into this?
after being shit for 15 years it's finally entertaining again
>>713497062 (OP)WaW was my final one too. How it lasted this long I'll never understand
Damn I don't play cod but playing as Todd is tempting.
What finishers did they add for them?
Every live service game wants to be Fortnite to have infinite cash stream. Even Magic: The Gathering has turned into that with the crossover it had with Spongebob and now Final Fantasy. It's not about keeping an aesthetic but keeping a stream of money flowing into their pockets.
>>713497062 (OP)You can just crop out the Call of Duty in the top left corner and convince people this is fortnite
>>713497062 (OP)They took the Fortnite pill. Infinite money by rolling out skins, FOMO attached.
>>713497406It doesn't look like Fortnite.
>>713497062 (OP)uhuhuhuhuhuh you said "duty" uhuhuhuhuh
>>713497062 (OP)Don't act like people wouldn't have lost their shit at this and bought en masse if this came out 15 years ago.
>>713497062 (OP)This looks like some /k/ringe goonfag patch
For Call of Duty it technically started all the way back with the Doritos/MTD promotions, they slowly build up that audience. So, celebrity cameos and shit like that became the norm, they slowly stopped embracing the war theme into some more "mainstream"
Then with Call of Duty Ghosts came around, crossovers were really a thing in COD now (both Predator and Micheal Myers were in it)
More celeb shit, add the eceleb shit to keep this stuff going, but never crossing a line of what COD was supposed to be or at least kept it on check.
And, after the failed attempts to create something like the competitors at that time (Fortnite and Apex), they forced Treyach to work into something, that was Blackout, which was a Battle Royale of everything Black Ops/WaW, and they introduced cameos in the form of Machete and Avenged Sevenfold.
They worked MW (2019), which went back to it's roots, and with it came Warzone, and things looked alright. But Fortnite is now profiting with Cameos, so they do the same shit.
And they do it again
And again
And again
And again
Nowdays, they release a game that looks like Military inspired, but just you wait because the skins will soon be shark man, cartoon from the 90s, stooner man.
>>713497406If Judge is signing off on B&B in CoD, Fortnite is just around the corner then.
>>713497062 (OP)Which cod game is this from?
>>713497756>They worked MW (2019), which went back to it's roots, and with it came Warzone, and things looked alright. But Fortnite is now profiting with Cameos, so they do the same shit. >And they do it again >And again >And again >And again It's funny seeing how the 2019 devs tried to care by having a consistant art direction but they gave up partway through their game too
>>713497770I mean, Hank Hill got added to Fortnite super recently alongside Bob Belcher and Cleveland Brown so I'd reckon Beavis and Butt-Head's inclusions would be inevitable.
>>713497062 (OP)>>713497202So after WaW, the next CoD games multiplayer featured something called kill streaks. The idea was after getting 3 or more kills without dying in multiplayer, you would get rewarded with some special thing that would give you more kills or intel or whatever. They also added in an experience grinding system so you had to spend days playing with guns that were shit before you were allowed to touch weapons you could actually compete with. This way, not only does the more experienced players have an advantage in experience, but also in equipment. And when one side starts to curb-stomp, the killstreaks ensure they will curb-stomp even harder.
This misery-powered skinner box was continually re-released with a new coat of paint until PUBG and Fortnight got big. Then they hit the panic button thinking they were going to lose their spot as one of the most popular multiplayer FPS games, and created a "warzone" game mode that is basically just PUBG in the CoD engine.
>>713498357that was before WaW you retard, imagine typing all that shit out to be wrong in the first sentance
They can make decent looking stylized beavis and butthead characters in game but can't make decent looking stylized anime girls?
>>713497406looks too good to be fortnite.
>>713498357>after WaWI only played like 5 seconds of that multiplayer and remember getting the attack dog killstreak
>>713497062 (OP)Does any of the CoD fanbase even know who these are?
This shit is so lame lmao. Are there actually people “hype” for this
Beavis and Butthead Call of Duty makes a lot of sense and if this existed 15 years ago, I would have bought it instantly and had a lot of fun with it. But I'm 31 now.
Anyway, CoD isn't anything. It's at the end of it's life where it's owner tries slotting other brands into it, trying to inject new life into a decaying corpse, until they give up and move onto something else. Which should have happened when CoD peaked with MW3. At least EA had the sense to end MOH when it was only meh and not played out.
>>713498679The "CoD fanbase" is almost every normalfag gamer in existence, retard.
>>713498923>end of it's lifeIt's cool to sound like a jaded boomer I guess but cod is more popular and making more money than ever. There are wayy more people playing games today than back then. Even as someone who dislikes the series I can't deny this.
>>713498923Moh wasn't making billions you fucking retard
>>713497062 (OP)Consoomercattle will spend millions on skins and micro-content due to brand-recognition, hoard/bird mentality and fomo
>>713497406looks like shit, unlike fortnitekino
>>713497062 (OP)You think Call of Duty makes a billion dollars a month in microtransactions off any coherent aesthetic? You think it sits upon its throne bending to the whims of an overly vocal minority that means nothing in the grand scheme of things. Fuck no it's wacky crossover shit that brings in the most cash.
Now if only they'd pick a cool 80s or 90s anime to do a crossover with.
>>713498005>treat her with extreme cautionI already do that with IRL sheboons, thank you very much

>>713497062 (OP)It'd be objectively way funnier if they put Mr. Van Driessen in here since they're doing side characters and not just Beavis and Butt-Head themselves.
Though I am a little confused at the lack of Tom "I was a veteran in two foreign wars!" Anderson.
>>713504038No proper trailer or video yet. Call of Duty has actually been pretty good about their guest characters ever since they got shit on for the AoT crossover, Ghostface in particular was my favorite with how many voicelines he got.
>>713504038the show has a lot of episodes. there's a good chance they'll just reuse clips.
