30 year old gamers, how are you holding up? I’m getting numbness in my left hand when playing fighting games. Someone suggested getting an arthritis wrist brace before it gets any worse. Anyone have any experience with these things? Will they really help my hand not get all tingly and numb?

They're very very unconfortable at first especially if you have buff hands & wrists like me.

A decade and half of arcades
A decade of PC m/kb
Two decade of using multiple input devices on both consoles and PC
Hands are perfectly healthy.
I'm so sorry for you console peasants who had no choice but only use gamepads and now have to suffer like grandmas who had their foot bound by a torture device disguised as luxury items.

I guess I'm blessed with good wrists. The only time my hands become strained during gaming is when I had to draw a lot of art for my job recently, but even then I only notice it with mouse&keyboard games and can just switch to a controller game for a while.

35 here. I injured my left arm at age 20 and can't game with a keyboard without it getting worse after just a short time, so controllers only. I don't have any fucking time lately to play much, but I'm currently on Elder Naytiba on Stellar Blade. He'll die this weekend. I'm too tired to try after work lately, so I fap and read before going to bed.

>fighting games
My reaction time has gone to shit that I can only reasonably have fun with turn-based games (I don't mind, I liked those since childhood) or games with very charitable input timers.

>muh reaction time
Shits overrated. A lot of fighting games is mind games and reading. You don’t wait and react to a move, you read your opponents to figure out the moves they’ll likely throw out next. Reaction times isn’t the be all end all of fighting games.

Recently I bought one more mouse and use it with my left hand when I can so the right one could rest. Should've probably done this much earlier.

My wrists are fine. So is my cock and hairline and whatever else people generally find failing. I do not take care of myself at all either. I don't get it. I am 38.

34 here. I don't have any complaints but then again I exercise regularly unlike all you fat fucks.
>hurr muh wrist hurts
Your own fault for using bad posture all these years and not keeping your fucking wrist straight when using your mouse and keyboard.

I had numb pinkies and ring fingers, mostly on my right head for years because I played trombone for 25 years and injured my elbow badly when I was younger.
When I started getting it on my left hand, I figured it was the same ulnar nerve bullshit again but now just mirrored, but it wasn't.
It was fucking vitamin b12 deficiency.
Now I take b12, C, MK-7 (for absorption, I had my gallbladder out), Magnesium, and d3 daily. It actually fixed quite a bit about me and my life, like my sleep is god-tier now.
Maybe get it checked out? Who knows.

hands and wrists kinda suck at least compared to my 20s but since i started lifting 20kg kettlebells (farmer walks) and doing hand stretches and isometric exercises my hands are a lot better, not as good as they used to be but i don't have daily chronic pain anymore and as long as i split between mouse and gamepad 50-50 it's usually fine
i do have carpal tunnel but i couldn't stand the wrist braces, they constrict too much and just end up hurting so i stopped using them, lifting did waaay more to help than the braces

I'm 50 and I cant really game that much to the point where my wrist/hands begin to strain. Now, DDR? I cant go as hard as I could a quarter century ago.
