I enjoyed building a highway across america and being a trucker on said road while fighting ghosts with infinite blood grenades that were also in my truck.
I kept the same truck fron the moment I got it until I ran out of road to build and had to start setting up zip lines.
Its really satisfying when the infrastructure you set up during that part of the game helps you make it back across to the east coast at the end.

The setting and environments in MGSV are the LAST thing people should be defending about that game, and I say that as someone with over 400 hours. Death Stranding's world is so much better realized it's not even funny, at least the desolation makes sense.

Walking in Dark souls 1 is fine mostly because the gameplay is completely different, the world is actually interesting, and theres combat every 10 steps to consider.
Walking to and from locations in DS1 is kinosoul and builds the world. Walking in DS1 by contrast is just time wasting for the sake of it.
