>Majora's MaskThe best, I don't care that it's basically just a OoT mod, it's different enough for that not to matter at all. There are so many stories packed into a relatively small area, almost all of them solid gold. Mechanically, and creatively, it's the best.
2. Ocarina of Time
The classic, a real adventure. Only real complaint is that there's a lot of needless large empty areas, but at the time no one cared since it gave this sense of an wide open world. No other zelda has ever landed like this one again.
3. Breath of the Wild
inb4 "muh open world." Sorry for not being a contrarian retard, but this game is almost universally beloved for a reason. I think it strikes the perfect balance between the Twilight Princess style and Wind Waker. The open world crammed full of enemies, shrines, and hidden items, and emphasis on freedom of exploration, really feels like they took the original zelda and made it 3d. Item decay is annoying and some stuff gets repetitive, but overall it's a solid title.
4. Wind Waker
I always appreciated how Wind Waker tried to be completely different from what came before it. The last four mainline Zelda games have been more similar than different in terms of style and mechanics. Main thing I remember about this one, that sense of adventure sailing around the open seas blasting my cannon.
5. Twilight Princess
This game was like the response to people bitching about WW's style. Instead of bright colorful Zelda everything is golden brown or gray. Instead of cartoony characters, everyone's a five-headed tranny with few exceptions. For the most part I remember just not liking this one very much, except the ending boss fights which would have to be the best of any zelda, maybe even of any game ever.
6. Legend of Zelda
The og. Still a solid game. Drops you right into the action with zero hand holding or other bullshit.
7. Skyward Sword
I hated it.
