How big is the difference compared to normal? I played through the game for the first time last year and my friends said I ruined my experience by doing 2/3 Vit, 1/3 Phys split and constantly being 5-10 levels ahead of enemies. I don't even know how that happened, I guess I'm just autistic and check every nook and cranny of a dungeon 3-4 times before moving on so I got in a stupid amount of random encounters.
Was thinking of replaying the game on hard so I can actually feel some of the despair the fiends caused in people.

Normal mode is baby mode if you spend a few hours attempting hard mode, its ridiculous.
Every encounter is you getting ambushed in the middle of a dungeon and instantly dying to a random crit.
Every boss will fuck your asshole in one turn because they just felt like it.
Money is like real life. You have no fucking money to buy anything so have fun grinding for hours and losing said grinding to a random ambush from low level demons.
Hard mode decides if you're allowed to move forward or spend an hour retracing your steps all over again, only to die to the same spot you got ambushed at.

That's the Nocturne hard mode experience.

It's sadly based on the inferior PSP version which features bad changes, but the new content for Story R was kinda cool, fishing and the new bosses were a cool edition. Increased difficulty level option helps because the gameplay additions made it a lot easier.

PSP version changed some things. Dialogue, crafting animation (no more 3D view of things while you're creating them) / systems. It also made some cities smaller for no reason including Cross and the theme park city. On the positive side it also adds a new character in Welch. It's one of my favorite PS1 games so I'd say it was worth it at full price for me, but yeah Second Story R is more of a side-grade to the original. Check the previews of the game to see if the new artstyle is to your liking anon. It comes with 3 different audio you can choose from, two different JP ones, one is a re-recording which I found worse.

Last Epoch if it goes on sale. Grim Dawn's DLC which everyone thought was coming as early as this March, is actually not likely until around spring of next year. While I applaud the dev's honesty and transparency, I've played the game for 500 hours and wouldn't mind something completely fresh that isn't Diablo or PoE. If Grim Dawn goes on sale I certainly wouldn't mind buying some more copies to gift to friends and coop through it again.

Probably not, I've been meaning to play Crypmaster, Obra Dinn, and Skin Deep. But there's a lot of games in this later half of the year, I care about, so it's not like I feel any need to pile up a backlog. And I recently got into wargaming which is a pretty nice hobby, but way too pricey.
