He's better than Kirk, but he's no Jason or Humphrey.

he did good. He understood the concept of the character. Helps he did independent research on the character.
He's not the best, but he got that he's a tragic character with a window of redemption that closes quickly.

nah, my two major complaints with the film were
>shadow's voice
>making shadow an alien instead of being made by Gerald

This is how they introduce the Black Arms in the next movie

1). They're stupid.
2). They could've introduced them anyway if they wanted to go that direction. It's not like Shadow being made by Gerald in the games prevented the black arms from being written in.

I think it says a lot that the biggest problems people have with the movie are the creative decisions, and not the two big plotholes that cannot be ignored once you notice them, one of them even destroying the entire trilogy if you think about it.

Will Shadow get a movie or a TV series, if so before or after Sonic 4?

Honestly he didn't have enough lines for me to really get a feel for his character.

Director said in the commentary that him being pure alien was purely for pacing reasons. Movie needed a brisk pace so no time to do the full origin.

Why didn't they just break one of the keys to the Eclipse Cannon so it can't be activated? This isn't even a case of it being too dangerous to use but too valuable to get rid of like it is for Shadow because GUN built it, to the exact specifications that Gerald gave them, they can just build another if the first one becomes inoperable or has to be stopped, they can't make another Shadow. The entire second act of the movie revolves around getting the keys and the third act cannot happen as it does if the Robotniks can't get both keys.

Why didn't Shadow warp himself, Gerald and Maria to safety? The instant Gerald tells the both of them that they have to flee from GUN is the instant that they are home free because Shadow can teleport, instantly, with others.

Shadow can't warp others with him without a Chaos Emerald. Shadow without an Emerald has never teleported anyone with him. As for the keys, magic bullshit material or it constantly gives off a signal that if broken, will make the factory print out a replacement. They or whatever excuse the writers will come up with if asked at a convention.

Movie Shadow can, actually.

This was never established in the movie, so it's not a part of the movie. The real answer is that Fowler simply didn't consider breaking one of the keys an option like he did with Sonic using the Master Emerald to instantly end the plot, a throwaway line in the movie could've solved this issue, explaining why they shouldn't or cannot break the key, but there is no such line in Sonic 3, so Commander Walters is just a dumbass for trusting Sonic with the key.

Holy autism. It’s a family movie based on a failed video game franchise anon, not a film adaptation of a literary masterpiece.

This whole movie is a mess. Its a movie not for kids but for kidults who now try to be monetizeable in a watered down package, without the yk2/skater edge which made the character what it is. Faggots hyped up this movie for a few seconds of live and learn. Keanu got memed into the role, whose peak expression was probably being the "woah dude".
I'm not gonna stomach an awful movie for that, I fell for that scenario at the second movie with the "yeah bro its just the wedding scene" premise. That pajeet servant is awful too, I also hate Ben Schwarz's voice. Then you got your token interracial couple with cringe monetizeable millenial humor. Jim Carrey, who is borderline insane IRL is the most tolerable of the movies, which says a lot.
