Are the pixel remasters good? Anything wrong with them?

I didn't like some of the sprite changes in FF5/6, but the only real complaint I had with them is the font being small in general (it has an option for a 'retro' pixelated font, but it's still small), and that there's scrolling judder across all six games because the devs couldn't into aligning movement speed per pixel vs. the resolution + framerate, when there are ample ways to cheat that when you're presenting a low-resolution game at 1080p output.

They're pretty boring. There are better romhacks, right? Maybe FF5 and FF3 are good because they were Japanese only back when only like 1 out of 10 Japanese games got translated

Nitpickggers will go on about
>muh translation
but if you're just looking for fun classic ff gameplay, I've enjoyed it very much, and as of late strongly thought about playing 3, 5 and 6 again. 1 and 4 are great too, and 2 is fun because the level system is just so left field by comparison, but I'm a sucker for job/class combat like in 3 and 5, and the scale 6 was just insane for the time when compared to the previous ones
Although this isn't a flaw, I do wish they would've added ng+. I just love going through older games that let you fuck everyone's shit up

Problem I had was most of them are easier than their originals still. I was expecting FF1 to be authentic w/ perhaps a bug fix or two, but it's based off of the PS1 version of the game, which changed the difficulty slope, level system, starting items, etc. Least it kept the old magic system? GBA versions were completely broken when they adapted it to the MP system.

I only ever touched some of whatever FF Legend 1 on GB was supposed to be, and that Vita version of Romancing Saga 2. Never got far in RS2 though, the progression wasn't described very well and I kept losing party members permanently, leading to a lot of reloading a save after a bad dungeon run.

They look genuinely horrible and the QoL changes like diagonal walking makes it feel like you're playing a shitty rom hack or RPG Maker clone.
Not to mention the homogenization of the presentation just plain robs each game of the awe that is the technical leap from each game to the other.
