But it was the last console where they at least tried to graphically compete, where a lot of biggest series started or flourished (metroid prime, pikmin, mario kart, melee (for better or worse)) and the last to feature f-zero
Also worth mentioning RE1 remake and RE0, Link being allowed in a 3rd party fighting game, and unexpectedly fun gems like lost kingdoms and ribbit king
My nostalgia for gc alone almost got the better of me, regarding getting a switch 2 because the polished up gc games, thank god the cool headedness prevailed

I can attest to this, my PS1 stopped reading discs one day for no reason. Sega also had dogshit build quality, my Dreamcast stopped being able to read discs unless a very specific amount of weight was on the disc lid and if you bumped the console or pulled the controller while playing, your shit would crash.
