It doesn't hold a candle to OoT in terms of world/story, but the gameplay is still pretty great, and the ending with the Triforce is really magical.
I just don't give a shit by how this game handled Ganon compared to how OoT or pretty much any game after it does.

It absolutely mogs everything made latter in terms of world/story, even if the gameplay is pretty basic.
Agahnim is vastly more enjoyable a villain, being a wizard-priest who infiltrated the court as a 'hero' who then murders the king and takes over, over ganondorf who is just le sandnigger king.
The light/dark world concept of where the demon king ganon is sealed is way more interesting than
