nah Gamecube had far more lag than this. Games were literally unplayable on Gamecube because of it. It's literally impossible to play any game on Gamecube.

None?
Everything was wired unless you were using a wavebird and the signal to the TV was analog.

Bro, you're playing on a fucking thumbstick
There's already 100+ ms of delay in moving that stupid stick forward so it's not like you're usually gonna have decent reaction speed.
You want fast, play on kb+mouse.

The deadzone is higher on the Gamecube controller, causing his finger-movement to be delayed until it touches the point of moving the in-game cursor compared to his Switch, which is why they look like they're registering the same input at the same time.

If you played PAL, yes. All PAL titles until the PS3 days were 17% slower than US/JP because of EU being 50Hz rather than 60Hz.

If I recall, the Switches each have an inherent 5 (or 6?) frames of input lag for everything.

That's the wavebird which is wireless, the wavebird adds some input delay too. I don't think most people will notice because it's only about 5ms extra input delay but meleefags would throw a fit about it.

Where are the meleefags when you need them, dedicated ones could give exact numbers.
The delay is about 3.6 frames, or 60ms. The OP example is getting into maybe 300ms by my guess.

I sure fucking love everyone doing video comparisons of Wind Waker only up against Steam Deck or PC emulation, and not real hardware w/ a tube TV to set a base.

Doesn't help in any case that Switch 2's screen has garbage delay on it even by 60hz standards.

I do some testing with my phone camera at 960fps.
My shitty work laptop takes 45ms to fully change from white to black, while my home ultrawide takes about 14ms.
