This man is the single most overrated dev of the past decade. The only reason DeS and DaS1 had any success was because they still had all the talent from King's Field around and the western game market had become such retarded movieslop that people were desperate for anything else.

Miyazaki is like an AI. He was able to iterate on what the From devs before him did, but when forced to iterate on his own product, he completely falls flat on his face. Elden Ring is just a soulless mishmash of Souls mechanics and encounters where the open world does nothing whatsoever to enhance the experience, it was just there because it was trendy at the time. Same as the roguelite slop that is Nightreign.

Before Demon's Souls Fromsoft only produced garbage after garbage and the only reason it turned out good was because of Japan's Studios.
