I can't see this being very good or selling well. There was a "dad game" trend for a while (TLOU, GoW 2018) but the appeal there was playing out classic coming-of-age scenarios in the role of the protector. They featured older children who weren't literal robots.
This kid is too young and too electronic, so there's a high risk it's going to come across as more of a constant escort mission.

As for the pedo posting, I assume 90+% of it is just edgy teenagers looking for reactions. Actual pedos are too rare to be relevant to public reception or sales.
