What was your first video game?
When was the first time you played a 2D game? In case yiur first one wasn't.
>>713569624 (OP)My first video game was either Super Mario Bros or like Pro Wrestling or Super Spy Hunter.
>>713569624 (OP)You have to be 18 to post here.
>>713569624 (OP)Sometime in late 1991. I was at the babysitters house and someone was playing this on an NES
That would be this little fucker right here. Came with the Genesis my parents got me for Christmas one year.
One of the Star Wars games on Atari 2600. I think this one.
First games I actually owned myself were Zelda 1 and Mario 1 which I got at age 3.
As far i remember it was frostbite on the atari.
Neighbours had an Atari 2600, I remember playing this game at age 5.
>>713569624 (OP)My first game was the original Legend of Zelda.
If computer games count, it was probably Cosmic Osmo
It's an earlier game made by the Myst guys, it has no puzzles or anything though it's just a world to click around and explore
If they don't, it was either Super Mario Land 2 or Pokemon Blue because I think I got them at the same time
people always complain about zoomer opinions but these types of threads always prove that /v/ does not have any newblood
>>713569624 (OP)Technically probably some PC edutainment game that I don't remember.
Pokemon Blue otherwise
>>713571154I think younger people just don't post since it makes them seem new (or underage) to be honest. Similar to how if anyone ever asks "what year did you start browsing" the responses will mostly just be from 10+ years ago
Bubble Bobble on Commodore 64 is the first one I can remember.
>>713569624 (OP)Link's Awakening Super Mario Land or Tetris, mom had a gameboy with those 3 games
>>713569850This. I had the duck/tracknfield/mario cartridge
>>713569624 (OP)Besides educational games, probably Rollercoaster Tycoon
I don't remember what my first video game was. I think it was some kind of Centipede clone that my brother installed on his computer using a magnetic tape. I found it fascinating right away and realized that it was my hobby, even though I was just a fucking baby at the time.
I can't remember the game, I just remember that it was monochrome and that the movement was similar to Centipede.
All I remember is playing some Olympics game on a knock-off Atari console. If you meant PC game, I'm actually not sure, though I remember playing stuff like Doom, Rise of the Triads and UFO: Enemy Unknown and some Marco Polo game
>>713569624 (OP)I think it was megaman 4, I got filtered to hell and back by it and haven't touched it since.
>>713569624 (OP)I have vague memories of playing Link to the Past walking in the rain and the guards blocking all the paths wondering what's past there.
>>713569624 (OP)Donkey Kong Jr., Atari 2600
>>713569624 (OP)I guess Stargate was one of my first video games, given the fact that thereโs a picture of 2-year-old me playing that arcade game with my 9-year-old uncle.
As for my first memory playing a video game, it was either Super Mario Bros. or The Legend of Zelda. This was all in the early 90s.
