Time to admit that Naughty Dog has never been that great. Crash Bandicoot was a contract created franchise for UNIVERSAL. It's not Naughty Dog's property. And given how Crash Bandicoot is a Has Been series in record time its safe to say Crash was never that great. Crash was simply the platformer you were allowed to play on Sony's console because you could not get Mario. Pure coping.

And what can I say about the Jak series? A series with no identity. The first game was a bland boring dull uninspired 3D platformer worse than Banjo or Rayman. Second game tried real hard to copy Ratchet and Clank and Grand Theft Auto while having an unfitting art style because Grand Theft Auto relies on realism for its crime drama stories and themes. You're not going to get the same results with cartoony characters who can't even swear much.

The only thing that rescued Naughty Dog is that gamers are suckers for realism hence Uncharted became their salvation. Gamers are fucking STUPID for realism.
