The Switch 2 does not "fix" these games. In fact it makes it worse. All the funny glitches? GONE. All the low res textures? Well they're just in HD now! All of the funny things distracting you from the terrible, slow gameplay? They're gone. Now all youre left with is this fucking terrible game that you paid upwards of $100 for with all the dlc. FUCK this game and FUCK gamefreak.

You'll find new glitches on semi emulation states.

Sword/Shield and Scarlet/Violet are underrated. They're fun, and better than anything else after the GBA era. Game Freak's bad stories finally get out of your way enough to make replays not a chore, which is important when the entire concept of the series lends itself to being replayed.
Just don't pay full price or at all.

Skip the gen 4 remakes. Arceus is fun though. Its still fairly ugly but the game is actually fun as opposed to Scarlet and Violet which is ugly and unfun.

They do if you use moves/abilities that boost multiple stats, have a weather up, have a terrain up, have field effects up, have damage over time effects up, have hazards up and are in a Double Battle (the ideal mode of VGC, the official competitive formats of Pokemon and your sole source of postgame content because PVP solves every issue everyone has with the AI being too easy or "cheating" in battle facilities.)
