>>713576220 (OP)This is prevelant in like every single game ever. If you have a long sequence fight with no breaks, that boss needs to switch things up roughly every 3m, eg phase changes etc, which is kinda expensive to develop. So generally fights in games cap out at like 3 phases max.
MH gets around this by having bosses slip into and out of phases (eg enrage etc). But also paces itself by having the boss run away every so often - it's not literally 30m of non stop fighting. Plus there's lots of stuff that can happen during the course of a hunt. You can get carted, another monster can have a territorial dispute, a particular area has traps you play around, etc
That's the main difference. It's not a "Fromsoft vs MH" thing, it's just basic game design
