...it really doesn't feel like a victory, when everyone you cared about is dead
caring is your mistake
take the psychopath pill
>>713598805 (OP)its called pyrric victory
>>713598805 (OP)Dude turned into a giant dragon and fought satan to save the entirety of the planet. If you're going to go out, go out big.
Oblivion is my all-time favorite game. I have ONLY played it on console, vanilla, at least 15-20 times. And the remaster didn't appeal to me for even a second. The style was ruined for me. Are graphicsfags happy with it?
>>713599669I agree it's soulless compared to the original. But at least it got a new audience of people to enjoy the game.
>>713598805 (OP)Martin dies? I thought he turns into a dragon or something at the end.
and Baurus' death is mandatory? I thought he could be saved.
>>713600927Everyone besides Martin can live, but I didn't do the allies for Bruma quest so there were no noname meatshields to take the hits. Therefore they all died. Martin always sacrifices himself, the dragon turns to stone in the end.
>>713598805 (OP)The Empire is done, blud, thatโs the point of the game. The last greatest men performing one final act of sacrifice for the world before their fated end. I like to include Archmage Traven in this as well
>>713601209ah, right. he turns to stone.
I think in my 2005 or 2006 first playthrough of Oblivion Baurus survived because I used the console kill command to stop the bad guys from killing him, after failing to save him normally.
Burd survived in my game, but I couldn't save Jauffre or Baurus
>>713601374I don't care about your e-celebs grandpa.
>>713598805 (OP)3 out of 4 of those can be saved
You fucked up n'wah
I find it completely unacceptable that Salvius Whomever, captain of the guard at Kvatch, will scold you for properly reporting the count is dead face down in his own blood, after you lift the entire Seige of Kvatch. Itโs not that profane to describe the state of his body in such a way, weโre fucking warriors, i just closed an oblivion gate, give me a break
>>713598805 (OP)You don't get the bean if you want survival.
>>713603614Do you have autism by any chance? It's in poor taste. Also his emotions are probably running hot. In any case "he didn't make it" or "he died" is enough. It's like if someone asked "is grandpa okay" and you reply "his body is cold, stiff, and covered in his rank piss and shit." Sure it's true, but it's just in poor taste. Let the old man keep what dignity he can.
>>713599403>your protege suddenly MOGS THE FUCK OUT OF YOUWhat the hell, Martin?! In front of the whole Imperial City? Now all they talk is how Martin this and dragon that. Is that how you treat a bro?
>>713599669>Oblivion is my all-time favorite gameSame. I'm happy with the remaster, it was amazing seeing it with a new look. Looks gorgeous.
>>713604163>your protege>implying Martin wasn't mogging you since you left KvatchMartin was never "your protege". You are Agrippa to his Augustus. You are a nobody compared to him. You're lucky the Blades didn't have you killed out of convenience and caution.
>>713598805 (OP)Things get better, but they never stay the same...
LIKE THE AMULET OF KINGS
>>713598805 (OP)I finished my first ever playthrough of Oblivion a few days ago.
A few minutes after Martin saved the world and turned to stone a random woman walked up to me, said the city might be in danger (it was burning all around us) and told me to visit her husband. Turns out her husband lived right behind where we stood, literally just there. Inside the house there were some obvious vampires who told me there were evil vampires around.
It just works.
>>713606571Those vampire guys are fucking funny.
