Playing through Mario Sunshine on Mario 3D All Stars. I never had a GameCube growing up so I never played it before. I think it's a great game but the other 3D Marios are better

I've been playing Mario Kart and Hogwarts Legacy

Mario Kart was fun for a while but it just doesn’t have enough single player meat to keep me engaged for much longer. I’ve done basically all of the P Switch missions and a good chunk of the ? Panels and peach medallions.

I think I prefer the Switch 1 launch lineup overall simply because of how strong it started and how lengthy each game was in terms of engagement. Getting Zelda, Xenoblade, and 3D Mario all in one year was like a fever dream for me.

Really excited for DK and Metroid, hoping the latter doesn’t take too much longer to release. At the end of the day I think I just want a big ass, first party JRPG to sink my teeth into soon.

Managed to get a Switch 2 yesterday, but I was exhausted and needed to cook, so I didn’t manage to play that much last night. Just unlocked the Special Cup, I’m planning on exploring to meet the requirements for unlocking Mirror Mode. I suppose I might try online after that.

Mario Kart was never really meant as a single player game. It shines online though, either with friends or randoms.

I wound up playing Fantasy Life i more than Mario Kart. Mario Kart is a game you buy because you already have the system, not because it sells systems. People wanted the bundle because it saves them $30.

Yeah I played X DE at release and nolifed it for a few weeks, loved it a lot. Probably my favorite in the series gameplay-wise, though in the story department I think I enjoy 3 the most.

I tried getting into DQXI via the demo but just didn’t vibe with it very much, might give it another shot later on. I’ve been playing Fantasy Life and Deltarune to pass the time until DK.

I’m aware, I just wish the stuff that is there was a little more engaging. The P switch missions are fun, and I like driving around in the open world, but the rewards are really weak. I wish the costumes and characters were tied to missions instead of the food thing, would have been cooler than stickers you can’t see 99% of the time.

Squeenix recently renewed the DQXI IP so it's very possible it's gonna get a switch 2 version
