Why does everyone whine about The Temple of Trails being so hard when in actuality it's easy compared to the rest of the early game which is actually way harder

I once used the Fallout map editor to remove some trees just so I could exist early -- but not because of the temple, but because I immediately wanted to do another replay of the game because FO2 is one of the greatest RPGs of all time.

People who don't actually play these games parrot other people's complaints and then it snowballs into a game of telephone. I can't tell you how many times I hear people who've never actually played Half Life 1 complain that Xen is the worst level in the game despite it being one of the shortest and it's a piss easy platforming section.
